How He Got Involved
Josh became interested in opportunities that combine healthcare, technology, and leadership during his academic journey. He joined the Center for Augmenting Intelligence (CAI) to explore how innovation, especially emerging technologies, can improve healthcare administration and decision-making. From the beginning, he was motivated by a desire to better understand how data, systems thinking, and collaboration can strengthen healthcare delivery. He approached the experience with an open mind, aiming to grow professionally while contributing to meaningful projects that support both students and the broader community.
Projects & Contributions
Through his work with CAI, Josh has contributed to several initiatives focused on learning, collaboration, and real-world application:
- Interdisciplinary Learning Initiatives: Participated in collaborative experiences exploring the intersection of technology and healthcare systems, with a focus on improving administrative processes through innovation and informed decision-making.
- Student Engagement and Knowledge Sharing: Supported efforts to promote awareness and participation in educational activities related to emerging healthcare and technology trends by helping communicate ideas clearly and encouraging student involvement.
- Health Systems Perspective: Applied his Health Service Administration background to provide insight into how leadership, efficiency, and ethical decision-making influence healthcare delivery and outcomes.
- Help with hosting and creating material for the Aging Well AI-event on April 10th.
Skills & Learning
Working with CAI has helped Josh grow both professionally and personally. He has developed stronger communication and teamwork skills while collaborating with peers from diverse academic backgrounds. He has also enhanced his ability to analyze problems, think strategically, and understand how innovation supports organizational effectiveness.
In addition, Josh has gained valuable leadership experience and confidence in contributing to complex discussions about healthcare systems and future trends, further reinforcing his interest in healthcare leadership and administration.

Josh’s experience at CAI has broadened his perspective on the future of healthcare.
